Barbara A. Elder, 82, of Orlando, FL, passed away May 15, 2016 after a brief illness. Born in Springfield, IL on November 11, 1933, she graduated from Springfield High School. She moved south to Florida with her parents and husband. While being a housewife and mom, she became the neighborhood Avon lady in her spare time. In her late years, she took a job at the Earl K. Wood Tax Collector office and worked there for 21 years. She enjoyed all her friendships with co-workers. She liked taking trips with the family to the beach and mountains. She also loved to watch her great nephew Zackery bowl.

Survivors include her 2 children; son Dale and daughter Beverly; sister Janet, niece Tina (Ken) and great nephew Zackery.

Informal Memorial Service will be held Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734, 407-293-1361 with additional viewing after service until 5:00 p.m. Dress attire for service will be causal. The family requests, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Susan G. Komen (ww5.komen.org or www.komencentralflorida.org) , in memory of Barbara A. Elder.
