Barbara Jenell Ryals

Barbara Jenell (Simpson) Ryals, 85, of Clermont, died on Sunday, January 2, 2022. She was born in Tampa, Florida to the late James Augustus and Mary Elizabeth (Kline) Simpson. Barbara was very active in her church; a member of the musical quartet as well as a teacher in the Sunday school program. A loving and caring woman of faith, Barbara will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her adored granddaughter, Dee Erwin; her cherished great-grandchildren: Mandi Cox, Brooke Acevedo and Kaleb Erwin; her siblings: Mary Lou McGuffee, Betty Combs, Dolores Lee and Edward, Allen and Bobby Simpson and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 25 years, Earl Ryals, a Baptist Preacher who passed away on July 28, 2006; her only child, Barbara Diane Mabry who passed away in 1991 and her siblings: Jackie Wilson, Elaine Johns and Eddie Simpson.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. Following the visitation will be a funeral service from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
