Bennett Herring

He was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on April 11, 1968 to Robert R. and Kay (Pippin) Herring. Growing up, Bennett moved throughout the east coast and graduated Kentucky Country Day School in Louisville.

He attended the University of Florida where he met his lifelong friends. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Human Resource Management from the University of Florida, an MBA from the University of Georgia, and a law degree from the University of Florida. He worked in Human Resources in a variety of companies and had joined his father, Bob, in their family business, TopTalent Staffing, where he assumed the role of Vice President.

Bennett married Mary Lou (Rahal) on February 8, 2002. Right from the beginning, he embraced his wife’s Canadian roots and her family. Bennett was a true family man and loved his daughters Natalie (19) and Erin (17). He was loved by and loved all his family including his mother-in-law, sisters-in-laws, brother in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He enjoyed spending time with his girls and took active interest in their lives. He was very supportive of his daughter’s livestock showing. He always pushed them to be the best they could be and to have fun doing it.

In his spare time, Bennett golfed avidly, and eagerly awaited his upcoming trip to New Zealand this February 2023 to participate in the New Zealand Open. He loved to travel with his family. They enjoyed touring American national parks with his precious wife and daughters. Bennett will be missed by their 10-year-old dog Penny who he shared a birthday with. He loved to watch the sunset with a rum and coke in hand, listening to Jimmy Buffett.

He was loved by all and will be deeply missed.

All are invited to a visitation on Friday, January 6 from 6-8pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida. A private burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in the same location.
