Bernice Marie Padgett passed away Monday May 22nd 2017 at the age of 99. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael A Padgett and son Donald Ross Padgett and is survived by her sons Carl David Padgett of Maitland, Douglas Lee Padgett of North Carolina Dale Allen Padgett of Louisiana and brothers Carl James Bordner of Sarasota and Richard Lee Bordner of Orlando. Bernice also has eight grandchildren, Mark, Brett (deceased), Shannon, Jason, Devin, Darryl, Delene, and Ronald, and seven great-grandchildren.
Bernice was Born on November 25th, 1917 to Marjorie and Conde Bordner in Battle Creek Michigan. She moved to Florida with her husband and family in 1959. She belonged to the Conway Home Extension Club for many years and also served as President for several years. She enjoyed painting, gardening, and sewing with her fellow Home Extension members to provide burial gowns for premature babies and headwear for Cancer patients to local hospitals.
