Betty passed away after a long battle with various illnesses. Born in Charleston West Virginia. She is survived by her three loving children, Jenny, Pamela, and John. She is the oldest of 10. Her twin sister Carolyn,. Pat, Mackie, Brenda, Mary, Linda, Sam, Clyde, Burnis.
Betty was a devout Christian who spent her life taking care of others, whether it be her light up the room smile, a joke, cooking meals and taking her “shut ins” to church. Many times her care givers came to her for support. When they were having a bad day, they would visited her for inspiration. She especially had a soft heart for under privileged children, who in many cases didn’t know where their next meals were coming from. Feed the Children was her favorite charity and she donated her time and money so that no child had to go to bed hungry.Betty also had a love for Gospel, Bluegrass and Country music. She could be often be found at Blue Grass festivals in her little folding chair singing to the top of her lungs. Her favorite song was “This little light of mine” Betty will be sorely missed. Countless people have expressed how honored they are just to have known her. We will forever miss her spirit and heart of gold.
