She was born in Ashville, North Carolina on March 13, 1946 to the late James & Velma (Sawyer) Banks.
Betty loved to visit the beach, and fish with her family; and, to go out to breakfast with them to Country Kitchen. She loved to get all dressed up and go dancing with her friends at the VFW and at the annual Ocoee Founders Day where she loved her country music! She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her dogs. And, she enjoyed her work, both at Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio, and at Walmart. Betty always had her hair and nails done, a classy lady, ready for anything, with an infectious laugh. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ruby Banks Burry.
She is survived by her children, Roy Fisher (Lynn) and Christina Lovato (John); grandchildren, Mike Fisher (Teresa), Jamie Fisher (Cassey), and Nicholas Elkins (Mia); great grandchildren, Justin & Tynleigh Fisher, Joey Powell, and Addy Elkins; brother, Johnny Banks in North Carolina; and, special friend, Robert Cronkhite.
Please join us for a Celebration of Betty’s Life at 2pm on Saturday, March 11 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida.
