Bruce Colby Arrow, 81, peacefully passed away on January 12, 2026 at his home in Longwood, Florida surrounded by his loving family. While we mourn the loss of his earthly presence, we rejoice knowing that he is now in Heaven, fully healed, fully restored, and in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He was born in Brockton, MA on July 19,1944. Bruce graduated from Melbourne High School and received his bachelor's degree from Florida State University. He was married to Marilee Chamberlin on June 6, 1970.
Bruce had a long career in insurance, spending 40 years with J. Rolfe Davis/McGriff Insurance as a majority partner.
He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church/Orlando, Longwood Rotary, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Lake Nona Country Club.
To know Bruce was to know a warrior! A fierce competitor, he worked hard and gave 100% in all he did. His many passions included coaching youth basketball; cultivating flowers in his home garden; catering as head chef of Smoking Arrow BBQ; skiing in Utah; his dogs, Mr. Pipps, Winston and Moxie; and his own unique sense of fashion. He invested in his community as a coach, mentor and Sunday school teacher.
Bruce is survived by his wife Marilee of 55 years, children Colby (Lindsey), Whitney (Dan), and Ethan. His grandchildren, Carson, Caden, Norah and Millie and his step-grandchild Andrew. He is preceded by his mother Lucille Broughton and father Frank A. Arrow.
