

She was born on November 21, 1932, in Orlando, Florida, and was the daughter of the late Oakley and Carrie Andrews of Umatilla, Florida.
Carolyn worked as an office manager in an Orlando dental office prior to her retirement. Most of Carolyn's life was spent as a military spouse and lived in many places in her role as a homemaker with 3 children at home.
She is survived by her son and two daughters, Gregory O. Latner and daughter-in-law, Sharon P. Latner of Palm Bay, Florida; Sonia K. Allen of Winter Park, Florida; Jill McDowell and son-in-law, Todd McDowell of Winter Park, Florida; and four grandsons, Matthew W. Latner, Austin Allen, Andrew McDowell, and Robert Scott Caniford; Nieces Brenda Bates, Gayle Shafer and her children and grandchildren, her beloved hairstylist Tom, plus many friends.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was proceeded in death by her husband, Clifton Pearce, by her infant daughter, Debra A. Latner, and her sister Joyce Bates.
Carolyn loved spending quality time with her loving family and working in her garden tending to her lush flowers and plants. She loved to dance, was a member of the Women of the Moose, and was always stylish and fashionably dressed. Carolyn cared deeply for her pets through the years, which most recently included Kalie and her grand-pet, Macey.
The family would like to extend their deepest and sincere gratitude to her caregivers Marian, Dee-Dee, Annette, Hospice nurse Michelle, and social worker Melissa for their impeccable and compassionate care that they provided to Carolyn.
It is the family's wish that any memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association or AdventHealth Hospice Care.
