Chuck was born on February 15, 1956 in Orlando, Florida. He was the son of Earl and Lottie Morgan. He grew up in Winter Park, FL and graduated from Winter Park High School in 1974. Chuck was a scholar and superior athlete, as a member of the National Honor Society and earning nine varsity letters in three years in football, basketball, and baseball. Chuck was ultimately inducted into the Winter Park High School Hall of Fame in 2001.
Chuck was also a huge Gator fan, having graduated from the University of Florida in 1978, as well as playing on the University of Florida football team as quarterback. The love for the Gators ran deep in his family, as his three children also graduated from the University of Florida. He loved to watch Gator games and proudly flew his Gator flag outside of his home.
Chuck will be remembered for his strong faith and love for his children, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family and friends. Chuck had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of Northland Church. Even when the COVID-19 pandemic shut down Sunday service, Chuck would head to the park and watch the service on his phone. Chuck started off his career in management at Kroger, and then went on to have a successful, extensive career in sales. Chuck’s hobbies included his love of sports, whether it be watching on TV or actively participating (playing football/basketball/baseball early in his life and golf later in life), as well as fishing, cooking, gardening, and coin collecting. His family will miss discussing fantasy football with him, as well as him making his famous family breakfast and holiday meals.
Chuck is survived by his three children, three grandchildren, and two siblings: son, Charles “Ryan” Morgan (married to Kristin Morgan and their sons, Nathan Morgan (10) and Xander Morgan (5)); son, Bradley Morgan; daughter, Sarah Atwood (married to Cory Atwood, and their daughter, Madison Atwood (4 months)); Chuck’s sister, Barbara Schwin (married to Phil Schwin, Vero Beach, FL); and Chuck’s brother, Earl “Bussy” Morgan (married to Shirley Morgan, Deltona, FL). He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and neighbors. Chuck is preceded in death by his loving parents, Earl and Lottie Morgan, and his brother, Nicky Morgan. Chuck’s family firmly believes he is home with the Lord, as well as with his parents, brother, and past loving girlfriend, Victoria Wartski.
