Christine Marie Croft, 85, of Branson, Missouri passed away on September 27, 2018. Christine was born on August 16, 1933 in Marks, Mississippi to the late Mrs. Gertrude Samantha (nee Jones) Waddell and Mr. Lawrence Jackson Waddell. She moved to Orlando, Florida and became a professor at Valencia College. In her spare time, she enjoyed ballroom dancing, playing golf, traveling the world, studying the Bible and supporting several ministries. She was also a talented seamstress, a member of the Elks Club and a proud Delta Pi Epsilon, a business educators’ society here in Orlando.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence King. She is survived by her son, Christopher Duane Croft (Connie Norwood Croft), three brothers Al (Patsy) Waddell, Herman (Ruth) Waddell and Samuel Waddell and two sisters Dorothy Earwood and Lazelle (James) Hancock. Living siblings Jesse (Linda) Waddell, Nancy Dowdle and Judy (Billy) Rico, her grandchildren, Vanessa Croft Miller (Michael Clarence Miller), Christopher D. Croft Jr. “CJ”, her great-grandchildren, Lola Claire Miller (age 9), Lucy Christine Miller (age 8), Michael Clarence Miller III (age 6), and Collynn Elaine Miller (age 3).
Arrangements have been entrusted to Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida. A visitation will take place on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 12:30 P.M. with a service to begin at 1:15 P.M. at Woodlawn Funeral Home. The committal service will begin at 2:00 P.M. within the Woodlawn Memorial Park.
