

Ruth Cleo Harper Neher, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Tuesday December 31, 2013. She was born in Century, Florida on August 5, 1916 to the late Harry Charles and Ruth Martin Harper. At an early age she moved with her family to Sneads, Florida. Cleo retired as an executive secretary for a US congressional committee. While in Washington, D.C., she married J. Vincent Fonelli, who died in 1972. She returned to Florida and became affiliated with various organizations, including Orlando Chapter 18 and Pine Hills Chapter 2518 of the AARP; Mizpah Chapter 190, O.E.S.; Past Matrons and Past Patrons Association; Orlando Chapter 95 NARFE; Orlando Sunshine Club, an affiliate of the Orlando Shrine Club; and Kentucky Colonels. Cleo Fonelli and Rudolph E. Neher were married in 1985 and he passed away on August 8, 2003. She was also predeceased by her sister, Veta H. Chandler and her stepson Raymond Neher. She is survived by her niece, Cleo Miller,of Tallahassee and several cousins, including Jack Northcutt of Altamonte Springs, Florida. Visitation for Cleo Neher will be held on Sunday January 5, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:00pm with a service to follow at 2:00pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home. An Eastern Star service will held after the funeral. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that contributions be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, P.O. Box 31356 Tampa, Florida or the charity of your choice in memory of Cleo Neher. Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
