Clifford Earl Kirchof, age 95, of Windermere, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 16. Born in DeLand, Florida, Clifford was a proud third-generation Floridian whose life reflected a deep love of family, country, and the land he called home.
He attended DeLand High School and continued his education at Florida Southern College and the University of Florida. Clifford answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Air Force. Rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, he honorably served during both the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
Above all else, Clifford’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose presence brought strength, wisdom, and love to all who knew him. He found peace and happiness in life on the lake, where countless days were spent fishing.
Clifford was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Madge Joan Kirchof, and his beloved granddaughter, Kristin Kirchof.
He is survived by his sons, Clifford Kirchof and Mark Kirchof; his daughters-in-law, Danna Kirchof and Bev Kirchof; his grandchildren, Valerie Howze, Steve Kirchof, Katie McNally, and Kari Sylvester; and his great-grandchildren, Caleb, Cline, Korin Joan, Brooks, Wyatt Clifford, Luke, Addie, and Jackson. His legacy lives on through them, carried forward in the values he instilled, the love he gave, and the example of a life well lived.
Clifford Earl Kirchof will be remembered as a man of honor, quiet strength, and boundless love a truly remarkable man whose life left the world better than he found it.
