Daniel Ramsaywack

He was born in No.79 Village, Skeldon, Guyana, son to Joseph and Lydia Sancharia Gajadhar. He was married to Evadnie (Hermina) Rachpaul on Feb 04, 1955.

At a very young age of 15, Daniel started his career as an apprentice with the Guyana Post Office and worked his way up to become a PostMaster and later the Regional Controller of the Berbice district. He spent over 40 years working there where he was well known, liked and admired. He migrated to New York, in 1987, where he worked in the precious gems industry for 14 years. He retired in 2001 and moved to Florida.

He was a strong patriarch of his family, a good friend to all. He was a great father who loved & cared for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and did the best he could to teach & guide them. Daniel loved singing hymns & will be remembered for his singing of hymns at many of our family occasions; and was singing praises to God to the very end of his life. He will be missed for his loving embrace, and for always genuinely blessing and uplifting us. He taught “positive thinking” to his children, grandchildren and others and always showered them with compliments.

Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and be comforted that he is in heaven watching over us.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Evadnie (Hermina) Ramsaywack, of Kissimmee, FL.

Sadly missed by his brothers and sisters; David Gajadhar, Alvin Gajadhar, Celys Bijulisingh, Alice Manbodh;, sisters in law; Farida, Doris; Pamela, Linda, Learene, Carmen, Yvonne, Beatrice and Pearl; brothers in law; Arthur, Bertie, Richard and Luke. nephews and nieces; Jerome, Joel, Maurice, Allan, Aaron, Mark, Grant, Andrew, Joyce, Norma, Annie, Saudia, Donna, Karen, Claire, Kerine, Chad, Sharon and other beloved friends and relatives.

Daniel was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Lydia Sancharia Gagadhar, brothers Freddie Gajadhar, Ragnauth Gajadhar (Sunny) and Steve Gajadhar and sister, Ellen Singh.
