David Allen Alford, age 74, passed away at his home in North Port, FL. on Thursday, May 12. David served in the Army for four years during the Korean War and after coming home made his living as a truck driver for Merita Bread Company for 32 years until they closed. David is survived by his wife Rachel, son Danny, daughters Wendy, Barbara and Patricia, his mother Louise and brother Gary. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. David was a kind and loving husband and father and had a great sense of humor.
David was preceded in his death by his wife Sybil, his father Gene, and his sister Karen. He will be deeply missed.
