

Delores was a proud member of Power’s Drive Baptist Church in Orlando for many years and later she was a member of Indian River Baptist Church. Delores was a seamstress for Singer Corporation in the 1950’s. Later in life she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Cornell University as well as continuing her education to maintain her certifications. She was a bookkeeper for Publix until she retired then went on to spend many years as a bookkeeper for Powers Drive Baptist Church. With the help of AARP Delores continued to work until her health began to decline at the age of 91. Delores was an avid bowler and passionate about the Lord. Delores was the oldest of 7 children and was the last surviving sibling.
Delores was predeceased by her husband Otis Pace, her son Stephen Ekdahl and her grandson Richard Hoening, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her daughter Mary (Dennis) Gazzola of Port Orange, daughter Karin Brantner of Williston, son Daniel Ekdahl of Williston, granddaughter Jennifer (Bethany) Smedley Nunda, NY, grandson James (Amanda) Gazzola, Winder, GA granddaughter Stephanie Stevens, Titusville, grandson Ray (Samantha) Brantner, Pryer, OK, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she treasured dearly. Delores is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, FL with funeral service at 2pm on Sunday, January 26, 2025 and a committal to follow at 3pm. Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home is entrusted to arrangement.
