Dennis was a great guy, worked with him at Ashley.  We still talked weekly and enjoyed our calls.  He was cut short on everything he loved and was in looking forward to in life.  When I didn't hear from him for a week I knew something was wrong. I'll miss him.     My deepest sympathy to the Wood family at this tragic time.  My prayers go out to you.

This man worked so hard, that he worked himself til death, literally. 
I had a friend once told me that if a cigarette (an inanimate object) could control a human being, than imagine the power of influence that a human could have on another. Skip had that power. The ability, as you all know,  to influence each and every one of our lives. Skip was best described as a lone wolf, but anyone that had that solo experience with him knew that he was a very fun and intelligent man to be around. Personally, my fondest memory was that of fishing. The man loved to work but liked to fish a little bit more. Skip you will be missed and you WILL be remembered!

Though we didn't know him well, Skip's daughter, Dawn, we love & know very well! She always spoke so highly of her whole family & especially her Dad. Our prayers are with all of you during this time & may his memories comfort you in the days ahead!! God bless you all.

Skip, only the good die young they say. I'll miss the jokes and the stories and your repeated and unsuccessful attempts to turn me into a fisherman. Still have the rod and reel and the next one (ie first one) I catch is for you. You've left something behind in all of us that makes the world a better place. I'll miss you my friend.

I am so saddened by the loss of Skip.  When I think of Skip, I think of fishing, flea markets, and crab cakes.  He always wanted to share whatever it was that brought him pleasure. He cared deeply about his family and he will be missed.

We will miss Skip. We will miss all his stories and his teasing. Skip was hard-working and generous. He loved his job and he loved his family. Love to you Dee, Dawn, Dale and Josh. We are ALWAYS here for you.

As one of Dawn's best friends through the years, I've experienced Skip as a second father. He was always playing jokes, talking about FSU with me, and telling me I should go cook his lobster and crab for him when he came back from Maryland. I was always treated like family and a second daughter. He gave me advice on life, took me on family vacations, and then we were even able to share cancer survivor stories together.My heart hurts upon his passing and my deepest condolences extend out to the entire family.

I'm so heartbroken to hear that one of the most influential father figures in my life has left us all. He always treated me as if I were his adopted son. He taught me things only fathers teach their sons and I will forever carry those memories with me until I get to see him again in the next life. I will always regard him as one of the most important men of my life. Goodbye for now Skip.....until we meet again, I'm sure you're going to want to call me a Chili Pepper when we do.
