Dessel M. Wald, age 75 of Orlando, FL, passed away on February 20, 2011. She was born in Springfield, Illinois on April 3, 1935. Dessel worked for many years as a Secretary and Office Manager and worked for many different firms during her working life. She was a very organized person, and her dedication to her family was a big part of her life. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and took pride in her home and family. Dessel was also a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley Blackburn and Ken Blackburn, and by her granddaughter, Danielle Sienko. Dessel is survived by her loving husband Robert; her children: Diane L. Wald, Daphne L. Sienko and David R. Wald; her brother, Spencer Blackburn; her sisters: Maureen Gutierrez, Pauline Straub, Lillian Fleck and Esther Gaa; and by her granddaughters: Sarah Sienko, Kaitlin Hboubati and Michelle Hboubati.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 2 PM in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, FL.
