

Donald Edward Martin Sr., 72, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021. He was born on November 21, 1948 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Carolyn Saxon Josey Martin and Leon Charles Martin Jr. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. He was a Brother Mason at the Mokanna Lodge #329 and participated in their Scottish Rite. Donald’s biggest accomplishment was his volunteering with the Shriners. He was the Children Driver Director and notably made 453 trips taking children to medical appointments. Don was also Chapter Director of the local Goldwing Motorcycle club. His selfless giving to others in need and caring nature will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen; his son, Donald Martin Jr.; his daughter Lori Matos; his adored granddaughter and his brothers: Leon and Richard Martin.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, June 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery rd., Gotha. A Masonic service will begin at 10 a.m. immediately followed by a Christian funeral service. He will be laid to rest with military honors in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
