Donna Marie Belta

Donna Marie Belta, 60, of Orlando, FL and Westport, CT died peacefully on May 11, 2012 after complications arising from diabetes. She is survived by her beloved Nicholas Wise, her mother, Dina Belta, brothers James (Karen) and Gregory (Mary Ann) and sister Connie Von Zwehl (Vinny) all of CT. Additionally, she is survived by her nieces Angela Belta (Danny Lopez), Laura Loffredo (John), Jessica Walsh (Rob), Caitlin Belta, and Kelsey Belta and her nephew James Belta, her great nieces, Sophia and Elizabeth Lopez, Kaia Rose Loffredo and her great nephew Connor Walsh. She is also survived by a large extended family and those who she considered her adopted family. She was predeceased by her father James S. Belta, and her grandparents, Concettina and Gregorio Belta and Grace and Giacinto Paoletti. . After growing up on her family farm in Westport , CT , Donna moved to Orlando , FL and devoted her life to the care and welfare of others. As a certified health care provider she helped both the very young and very old live life to their full potential. Her last patient, Nicholas Wise, was in her care for nearly three decades as she first became his nurse and then his guardian and “Mom”. He was her greatest joy. Donna counted many friends in her community as well as old friends from home. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
