Drake David Collins

Drake David Collins, 56, of Winter Garden, Florida, went to be with the Lord that he so faithfully served on May 25, 2021, with his wife and daughters by his side. Drake was born in Okinawa, Japan on June 23, 1964. He was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne Collins.

Drake graduated from Altamonte Christian School in 1982. Upon graduation, he began his long career in the automotive industry where he formed many long-lasting friendships. Drake was married to Kim on April 27, 1991, at First Baptist Orlando. They recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. They have two beautiful daughters- Kaitlyn Collins, 26 and Tiffany Collins, 24. Drake’s daughters were the light of his life. He never missed out on any activity they participated in, and he loved it best when the house was full of their friends!

Drake loved fishing, cruising, golfing, and spending time with friends and family. He also found joy and fulfillment in sharing the gospel with others through daily devotionals ~All Faith No Fear~. Throughout his 11-year battle with cancer, his faith never wavered. He trusted and believed that God’s plan for his life was better than his own.

Drake is survived by his wife, Kim Collins; his two daughters Kaitlyn Collins and Tiffany Collins; his dad Dave Collins; and his sister Tamera Moore.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at First Baptist Orlando, Henry Chapel, 3000 S John Young Parkway, Orlando. Reception to follow. Please celebrate the joy Drake brought to your lives by wearing bright, happy colors.
