Parker did his first "semi professional" music gig with an electronic piano and his computer last night so thanks again for the Yamaha Grand Piano - PARKER LOVES IT and it has kept him interested in playing over the last few years for sure... Don,  having had the pleasure of dining and sitting next to Jan with your posse in Hilton Head, Barb and I wish to extend our sincere condolences to you and your family.

Mom, as much as you taught me in LIFE, you taught me even more as you heroically embarked on your "journey" we call Death.  My love for you and my faith that I will see you again are STRONGER than ever. How could they not be when 4 days before your passing, with most of your earthly body shutting down you proudly declare "I have an announcement. This has been the BEST day EVER!" Remember when you told us that there was " a man in the room celebrating my life"  as you bravely waited to leave this world?  Mom, that is what I will be doing everyday God grants me in this life and I am privilidged to have shared the last 47 years of my life with such a special -wonderful creation of his.

Jan was one of the first people to welcome us to the Lake Nona community when we moved here.  She had a big heart and loving way about her.  Thinking of her today it seems like she was the matriarch of Lake Nona for sure.  She will be terribly missed by all and certainly never forgotten.  Our hearts go out to the family of this wonderful lady.

Looking at the pictures, so many memories I cannot believe how much she was a part of my childhood, my life.  All the things she did with and for me.  She was a wonderful Mother...she will be missed so deeply.  I will miss you Jan.  My heart and prayers with Don, Kevin, Mark, Jay and Robbie.

Dear sweet Jan, 
Did I know her long? not really. We met through a card game. Jan decided to play with our euchre group and we couldnt imagine why. Not a difficult game, certainly not up to her level of intelligence.  She seemed a little annoyed with us, kinda crabby actually. But she kept coming back. She was patient. Like a good teacher, Jan guided our group to become more aware- talk on politics, current events, religion and health and her beloved books!  We grew to know each other and care - about our kids, husbands, grandkids and even pets  She gave us many gifts of herself. In return,I like to think we gave Jan a good laugh each week and a hug, we are a  hugging group. We gave Jan lots of grief and even tried to talk her into giving a piece of her jewelry as a prize. She made us better-Personally, i think i curse less because of Jan. We all developed a strong bond much to the efforts of Jan and no one wants to miss our thursday mornings- She challenged us yet showed her love by trying to do everything in her power to be with us until it was impossible to play. I know all the ladies of Lake Nona whether its the card group, bible study or book club feel blessed to have seen her shine.  As a mother, as a wife, as a grandma and friend, a life to be proud of from beginning to end.

Janet...although we never met personally my association with your family is greatly appreciated by myself and my family. You have 4 strong loving sons and a wonderful husband that will at first be exremely sad for losing you to God for now, but will soon after rejoice and smile at all the wonderful memories of your time here on earth with a vision towards being with you someday in heaven, in peace and wonderful tranquility. Look after them until you see them again, as you will, when you are all reunited in spirit, and in God's glory.
