In addition to her parents, Ernestine was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Midgette; son, Ben Midgette; daughters, Mary Steck and Neva Tabb; son in law, Terry Tabb; grandson, Kyle Tabb; brother, Walter Tootle; and sister, Uneeda Kettner.
Ernestine is survived by one daughter, Ruby Carroll (Nick); four grandchildren, Whitney Rowland, David Rowland, Joe Carroll, and Shannon Carroll; eight great grandsons, Matty, Mitch, Chance, Austin (Chelsea), Forest, Kyler, Blake, and Max; two great granddaughters, Beckett and Koors Kay; and two brothers, William and Buddy Tootle.
After raising four children she returned to Community College and earned her A.A. Degree in Child Development. She continued working with children for 25 years.
Ernestine enjoyed many hobbies: quilting, embroidering, jigsaw puzzles, walking, sitting on the front porch reading, and especially BINGO.
