Everton FitzGerald Phillips was born in Brooklyn N.Y. on November 30, 1923 to Albert and Miriam Phillips. He was raised in Barbados, West Indies and returned to New York in 1947. He worked for New York State Thruway and New York City Department of Motor Vehicles.
He is the widower of Marjorie Phillips and was also preceded in death by two sisters: Norma Belgrave and Inez Price. Everton is survived by his children: Gertrude Bullard, Phyllis (Robert) Prescod and Monica Phillips; grandchildren: Rodney(Kizzie) Bullard and Shareen (Darren) Prescod McClean; great grandchildren: Kori Bullard; Nieces: Wilma(Russell) Havercome, Novello(Alexander) Penick, Idalia Holder and Delores James; great niece: Aisha(Alaric) Holder Campbell; great nephews: Ronald Penick and Oriel Havercome; friend: Arletta Best and family; other relatives and friends: Jacqueline Rock, Pat Lord and Karen Reid.
Everton was very involved with St. Joseph's Episcopal Church. He later attended St. Mary's of the Angels where he remained until his death. He was also a member of The Coalition for the Barbados Association of Central Florida.
