Grandma, it is hard to believe it has been a little over years since you left us. Almost harder to imagine today would have been your 103 birthday. It occurred to me the other day that you now have your whole family together again.  You, grandpa, mom, Aunt Dolly and Uncle Lloyd. We sure do miss you all.

Wow, another year has passed since you went home. It is kind of funny how often you are brought up in conversation as we remember stories, or things from our youth. Love ya.

Hi Grandma,
I’ve been posting lessons you taught me along the way. I’m still working on most of them. Over the last couple of days, Bob has been posting the videos we made together. Seeing you and listening to you warms my heart. As I get closer to Jesus, I see so much of Him in you. We still have much work to do here so I don’t know if I will see you soon, but I can’t wait until we are together again.

Another year has passed and we miss you greatly. We smile and laugh as we tell stories or remember stories you would tell of long ago. Miss ya.

I was thinking about it today, so I better post now as I'll forget. It is hard to believe that you'd soon be 100. I can't even image that, but then again when I was little I could have never imagined 93.

Today I remember your birthday and what a blessing you were to all who knew you.
Yes, I remind the kids and grandkids to "keep Jesus first."  
I can only imagine the great time you are having in heaven. I know you would't want to come back but I want you to know that we all miss you so very much.  Love to all those that are there with you that I loved....especially Joe and Lloyd.    Your loving daughter

I didn't forget Grandma, but not much going on that is too different from a year ago or so. We sure to miss you. Well, as long as you are up there, talking....we could sure use some calm seas at the end of next month. See if you can work that out. We'd appreciate it! Love ya.

SO much in life has happened. Mom as been so sick, Denis and Amamnda have gone off to college. You would be ssoo proud of them. We all miss you so much and can not wait till the day we can see you again!! Love you gramdma and as you asked me to do the last time I spoke to you, I will stay close to Jesus!!!

i know you've been looking down on me this whole time you've been gone! I miss you so much. I finally graduated with my AA and i wish you could have been there. I love you alot, and think of you constantly, your always in my heart and in my mind, still can't wait to see you.

My dearest Mom, I spent so many days in the nursing home with you sitting by your side, holding your hand, rubbing your arm. We would look at each other and say i love you, then i would say i love you more. It was so precious to spend those hours with you even though you kept asking Jesus to take you home. I kept telling you not quite yet Momma. Eventually we  knew the time would come and we were willing for that day but didn't know when it would be. We would share the word and pray together as mom would always like her devotion time, On Monday September the 6th mom became restless and it was a very difficult day for her, she asked to go to the hospital. So I called Nancy and Hospice, they came and settled her pain down, she seemed to be doing well and i went home.  Tuesday was Nancy's day of care as we shared different days to care for mom. Nancy said i needed to come in on Tuesday and this day Mom was looking very weak. In the afternoon i put my face down to my moms and she seemed very cold, i asked Hospice if all was well? Nancy and the hospice lady said that momma wouldn't pass away until the next day so i went home as they advised me to do, and when i got in the door the phone was ringing, Nancy was on the phone and said that momma was gone to heaven.I hurried back to the nursing home to say Goodbye to my Mom, as i leaned over her i said Goodbye Mom. The Angels have come to take you, and now your rejoicing at his feet,  the family is happy for you. No more suffering, a new body. We miss you in so many ways, always will!! We think of all the things you did for us as a Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.  Love You until the day we meet again.     Dolly and Leonard Brauen

Grandma,, I wished I could have seen you after we talked just awhile back. But i called recently to check on you and had that feeling and then checked and that's when I  learned of your passing. I'm grateful I had that time to talk with you, you were a part of my life growing up and working with you. You now walk with God, your with Grandpa now and Lloyd and Momma (Carmen), tell her I love her and Daddy too. You will forever be in my heart, you enjoyed spreading Gods work wherever you were. Even when I last talked to you, you made me feel so happy as sad as I was by praying with me and bringing up good memories. Im so blessed to have had you in my life. you will always be with me in my heart. I love you and will miss you .

My condolences to the family, I only recently found out, I wish I could have been there. Grandma meant a lot to me. She was the one who got me baptized at Calvary and I still have my record of that special day. She will forever be in my heart

I only learned today of Aunt Frances's passing from my sister, Linda. Aunt Frances & Uncle Lloyd held a special place in our Family's hearts, especially my Mother, Eleanor. She was a true inspiration in Love, Kindness & the teachings of Christ. Our family & the rest of the people whose hearts she touched will never forget her. I'm sure she is resting comfortably with her Savior, Uncle Lloyd & looking down upon all of us with her kindness. She truely was an Angel.   Bob Looker

I am sorry that I didn't know of your passing until I received correspondence from Nancy.  I know it had been almost a year since I had seen you but I would have been there had I known to say my good-byes in person.  But I know that we will see each other in Heaven.  I take comfort in knowing you are with my mom and Paul Jr and together you are all celebrating at the feet of Jesus.  Thank you for being there for me when I needed you the most.  I'm sorry again I didn't know.....

I am glad we got to see you in January. You looked so good, that it was so unexpected to hear of your passing.  I know that you will be missed by many. You were an inspiration and touched many lives.  Now you are with God, and as much as it may hurt your loved ones, because they will miss you, isn't that the best place to be?  God bless all who knew you and mourn your loss.

     You always stuck out in my mind. The way you would always address me, even tho I wasn't the eldest or the wisest person in the room, you always made sure what I had to say was heard. That meant so much to me. Also, you always had so much energy, especially for a woman of your age if I might say so, and that energy would give your words such power that you didn't have to look to know that you had everyone's attention in the room. But I think most importantly, that you would never let anyone think that you didn't Love them for one minute. If you didn't tell them during your conversations, you would make sure to tell them on the way out the door with a hug. Let me return the favor and tell you that I Love You and let you know that you not be forgotten. You had no small impact on my life.

I only met you once but it felt I knew you for longer because I would hear you talk to Nancy and I would cry sometimes just listening to the conversation. You left an impression on me and I long for that love and it was in you. You impacted me just that one time and you spoke into my life like I was the only one in the room. Your love for Jesus was so evident and so comforting. I wanted to be able to comfort you somehow but you comforted me. I see so much of that in Nancy and she is like my mom and so grateful for the legacy that you have passed onto to your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. You have left a great love here for people to remember. You had the love of Jesus that touched so many. I was so blessed to be able to hear all about you and the woman of God that you were. Your prayers will continue on. Cant wait to see you again in Heaven. Love Debbie

Dear Mrs. Stauffer (Landis) I send you blessings eternal --perhaps you will meet my granny Thomas Ella Moore who was the best woman in my life...I've grown to know and love your daughter Nancy and am thankful to God for our meeting. She is a wise and strong woman of God and has blessed so many lives.  May you rest in joy and peace.

Grandma,
You were amazing. No one has ever impacted my life the way you have. Your love was unconditional, your sacrifice was cheerful and your mercy endured beyond any limits I knew. You embodied a love for Christ, His precepts and all people in way I could only hope to manifest in my lifetime.

You always found something in me to praise, love, laugh with, realte to, talk about, touch softly and disciple gently. 

You love was so vast, I never minded sharing you with others.  In fact, I treasured it and counted sharing your love with others as my gift to them. I welcomed the pew to be filled around you because I knew what those your were loving were in for. You offered me the legacy of being inclusive to others, loving them, grafting them in, being selfless and the power of God's unfailing love.  Thank you. 

Most of your peers and mentors have gone before you. But, the hundreds that came to celebrate your life speak volumes about your love for all people and desire to impact lives for Christ. What a great service. It was so real with tears, laughter and stories of those that knew you or wish they did!

I do miss you and would love once more to hear you pray, call me lovingly, speak tenderly or just say, "What 'cha know new my brown eyed baby girl?"

God knew I would require a very special Mama and He gave me you.  Your unconditional love was always demonstrated in my life and I thank you.  You did not condone my life choices, but you always loved me.   It was that unconditional love that kept the door open for me to return to Christ. 
Thank you for the prayers that you prayed daily for me when I was away from the Lord.  God heard the prayers of   a loving, caring and faithful Mother.  You never gave up hope that one day I would come back to worship the Lord.  
Thank you for the encouragement and support when God called me to serve Him in Thailand.  You encouraged me to go, took delight that I was serving the God you loved so much.  I know you always said you wished you could have gone to the field, but Mama, your mission field was wherever you were.  Anyone that came into your presence heard about the Jesus you loved so much. You served Him and touched more lives for Him then many missionaries that go to the foreign field. 
I wish I could have witnessed your reaction when you heard the Father say "Well done good and faithful servant".  
I am so grateful and blessed that I was able to hold you in my arms as you waited for the angels to come and take you to heaven.

Grandma, there is no one like you. 

You have taught me so much about God's love through your walk and your faithfulness to Him.  What a magnificent example of a Christian woman you have been.  You touched all who knew you.  If ever there was a person on this earth who conveyed Christ like character, it was you.  I will miss your laughter and your stories.  I will miss your uncondidtional love and your ever embracing, alway inclusive, attitude toward everyone who crossed your path.  You are home now and I can imagine you are having a glorious time in the presence of our Father.  Save a place for us.  We will all miss you dearly, but we know that you are right where you are supposed to be, with Jesus.  I love you Grandma.

We walked in the room and you looked so beautiful and peaceful.  We were told what a beautiful passing you had and although our hearts miss you here in the flesh, we celebrate your finally seeing Jesus face to face.  We can only imagine all you have to talk about right about now.  We praise our Lord for allowing us to cross paths with you Frances.  The lovely impact you made in our lives, your unconditional love, your prayers, your advice and your sweet "I love you honey" - we will never forget you.  Knowing you has enriched our Christian walk, our very lives.  It was such a true pleasure to spend time with you, especially these last months.  We love you too!  We celebrate your life and say, 'see you later.'  Save us a seat near you, ok.

Grandma. you now sit in the arms of Jesus and have seen him face to face. What a glorious day. We will always stay close to Jesus as you have asked us to do. We all love you and you will live in our hearts forever!!

Good-bye Grandma!

Over the last few months I have been wondering why God would not take Grandma home. She was praying to go "home" for a long, long time. I think it was her daily prayer. We all prayed for the same thing but the prayers seemed to go unanswered. She had so many prayers answered before this just did not seem right (to me).

Then, a couple of weeks ago Grandma told me that if she wasn't going home soon then she was going to work hard to get some strength so she could do some of the tasks required to be self sufficient on a limited basis. She would sneak out of bed to go to the bathroom by herself. She would ask to be moved from chair to chair in her room. She was eating well again. She was gaining a bit of weight (a good thing as she had lost so much). She went and did some exercises and even played some group crossword puzzle game with other residents of her floor. She was doing great. Yesterday it dawned on me that she had once again taught a lesson without even knowing so herself! You see, in my opinion she had sort of given up and was waiting to die. Asking to die. Praying to die. God said, "Not so fast. All things in my time.". I really think grandma submitted to God and put her end of life into his hands. At this point I think he answered her prayer, and ours. She no longer waited to die, but instead died to wait. You will be greatly missed grandma! I love you.
