Dr. Francisco R. Sanchez, age 88 of Orlando, who passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 was an Emergency Physician. He received his M.D. in 1950 from Facultad de Ciencias Medicas in Guatemala. In 1955, he received a research fellowship from Harvard Medical School & did his work at the distinguished Children's Medical Center in Boston, MA, which is where he met his beloved wife, Doris. Outside of medicine, he enjoyed traveling, arts & classical music. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Doris L. Sanchez; sons, Robert C. Sanchez, Victor E. (Anita) Sanchez and Danilo D. Sanchez; brother, Victor Alfonso Sanchez; two grandchildren, Kristen Sanchez and Robert C. Sanchez, II. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wed., Jan. 11, at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12 at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
