George Junior Ayers, 86, passed away on Wednesday August 3, 2016. George was born on May 12, 1930 in Federal Hill, Maryland to the late Bruce Gleason and Mary Theodosia. George retired from the FAA in 1994 after 23 years. He was an U.S. Army Veteran. George enjoyed building RC airplanes, woodworking and volunteered to build houses for Habitat for Humanity. George will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. George was preceded in death by his son, George Gregory Ayers and his brother Conley Hash. He is survived by his loving wife Hilda Ayers, son, Christopher (Rose) Ayers, daughter, Carolyn (John) Dent, sister, Mary (Webb) Parsons and their son Randy Parsons, two grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Stanford, and Teresa (Kreg Dobzinski) Ayers. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday August 9, 2016 at 10:00 am at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road Gotha, Florida 34734.
