

George David Watson was born to Mabel Brown and Charles Watson on October 8, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up in Cleveland Ohio where he graduated from Glenville High School in 1970, where he was in the top 10 of his class. He graduated from the Career Academy for Medical Assisting in 1971. He enlisted into the United States Military (Navy) in 1972. Where his love for the medical field lead him to become a Naval Hospital Corpsman. He served his country as a Naval Hospital Corpsman in various places to include but not limited to Newport News, VA; Philadelphia, PA; Spain; Hawaii; Washington, DC; and Orlando, FL to name a few. He spent a good portion on his Navy life out to sea aboard different ships. The last being the USS Concord, out of Norfolk, VA. After serving 21 years in the United States Navy, George retired from his service in 1993. After retiring from military service George continued to work in the field he loved the medical field. George went to work for Florida Hospital where he worked for 20 years. George would often joke that he would work forever and that they would have to drag him away kicking and screaming. George meet Katherine (Treisha) in Norfolk, VA. They were joined in Holy Matrimony on September 4, 1983 in West Helena, Arkansas. Where they remained for 33 years.
George departed this life on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. at Florida Hospital South in Orlando, Florida. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memories: wife Katherine Watson, daughter Treisha Watson Hill of Orlando, Florida, grandson Tobian Hill of Orlando Florida, mother Mabel Brown of Cleveland, Ohio, brother Edward Dixon (Shirley) of Cleveland, Ohio, sister Asenath Walker of Cleveland, Ohio, special friends Corless and Kenny Newsome, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
