Gina Lynn Hauenstein, 58, of Orlando, FL passed away on March 11, 2014. She was born April 20, 1955 in Jackson, TN to B.F. and Regina (Peeler) Mullins. Gina graduated from University of Tennessee with her bachelor’s degree. She was known for her great sense of humor and for being a faithful friend and loving mother to her son. Gina volunteered countless hours at the West Orange Christian Service Center thrift shop alongside many of those friends with whom she shared walks with and maybe even an occasional tropical cosmo. She was always the person people reached out to for advice on everything from their children to what dress they should wear to the next Gala/Wedding/Bar Mitzvah or Birthday Celebration. Gina loved sitting on the patio of her Windermere home talking on the phone for hours on end with friends, family and her mother. She was always interested in hearing about what was happening in everyone’s lives. She lived for that! Gina is preceded in death by her father, B.F. Mullins. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Gregory J. Hauenstein; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and (Madison Orr) Hauenstein; mother, Regina Mullins and sister, Carol Gilchrist. A Celebration of Gina’s Life will be held at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel in venue 20SEVEN on Wed., March 19, 2014 at 3 pm. A private family graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church Youth Group, 4851 S. Apopka Vineland Rd., Orlando, FL 32819.
