Iris graduated from William H. Maxwell Vocational High School and completed 120 credit hours at Pace University. Even though she never formally received her degree, she worked over 20 years in the financial industry in Manhattan. However, if you asked her, these things were not her biggest accomplishments...
Iris is survived by her two daughters, Nicole and Gina. Iris’ favorite and greatest job in life was being their mother. They brought her great joy and she loved them with all of her heart and soul. She wanted nothing more than to be near them always. This also included her first granddaughter, Victoria. Her family was very important to her.
Iris was the firstborn of her surviving mother, Gloria, who had 5 children. Her 3 younger sisters and baby brother looked up to her. Always maternal, she was a source of encouragement and/or comfort, whichever was needed.
Iris enjoyed trips to the beach, crafting and cooking. She would often tend to her house plants and the garden. But most of all, she loved Jesus. She spent time in the Word and meditating on God. Now she stands in His presence.
