Janice "Jan" (Sullivan) Downs, 69, of Ocala, formerly a longtime resident of Orlando and Orange County, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. She was born in Hamilton, MS to the late Dee B. and Mildred (Ross) Sullivan. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Director of Human Resources in Food Service for many years. Jan enjoyed cooking and traveling to her favorite destinations spots of Captiva Island and Hawaii. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her adored grandsons.
Jan is survived by her loving husband Jimmy Downs; her daughter Melissa Valchar Graham; her grandsons: Ross and Jack Graham; her sister Sarah Allen; her brother Danny Cole and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her three siblings and her step-son Michael Downs.
A visitation for Jan will be held Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 PM.
