Jennette Angelus Armogum

Jennette Angelus Armogum, age 83, of Windermere, Florida passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Charles Armogum, loving mom of Arlette, Leonard, and Aaron. Eldest child of the late Ellen and late Edward Soobrian. And the caring sister of Kenneth, Leslie, Lloyd, late Roy, Joy, Bridget, James, Randolph, Elizabeth, Terence, and Vashti. Also, the dear sister-in-law of Jean, Natalie, Kamal, late Leila, Shanta, Sunita, Ramesh, and Cecil. She was the supportive grandmother of Emnet and godmother of Wallace.

Jennette was kind and loving, she was beautiful, selfless, and determined. She grew up in Guyana where she met her husband, Charles at the age of 16 and got married later on April 7th, 1958. Jennette went on to become a Supervisor of Food Services for the Cyril Potter College of Education in Guyana and The Brooklyn Caledonian Hospital in New York. While doing her regular job, she practiced her hobby of baking. She specialized in decorating Wedding Cakes for many relatives and friends. She also entertained guests and church occasions with very delicious black bean cakes and pineapple tarts. She traveled extensively with her husband and close friends, especially on cruises and bus tours. Jennette was an amazing cook and contributed to the Caribbean potluck & bible sessions at the Quest Presbyterian Church in Windermere Florida. She sang praises to the Lord her God. She gave her whole heart into everything she did and was a role model to many. She will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Jennette will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A funeral service will occur Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 9:30 AM at Quest Church, 1450 Citrus Oaks Avenue, Gotha, FL 34734. A committal service will occur Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 12:00 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
