Jose Benjamin Esquea

Jose Benjamin “Benji” Esquea of Clermont, Florida passed away on June 5, 2025. He was surrounded by family and loved ones at the end of his journey. Born on March 3, 1968 in La Vega, Dominican Republic. He is survived by his loving wife, Bibi Shakira Esquea, and his daughter, Kimberly Shakira Esquea. Benji was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.

He was a generous friend and possessed an ability to connect to just about anyone. He will be remembered for his unwavering kindness and bright spirit, which brought joy to all who knew him. He was a teacher at heart, always eager to pass on his knowledge and experiences to those around him, leaving a profound impact on family and friends. His passion for life, coupled with his genuine compassion for others, leaves a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire. He cherished moments with family and friends, always finding ways to make every gathering memorable. Benji's spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

A visitation for Jose will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Florida 34734. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 13, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Florda 34734. A committal service will occur Friday, June 13, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, Florida 34734.
