

Joseph "Joe" Fagan was born in Brooklyn New York, where he attended school. He was drafted into the US Army in July 1943 where he served in World War II in the Ardennes, Central Europe, Normandy, Northern France and Rhinaland campaigns. After 2 ½ years he returned home and went to work for Electrolux in New York where he met a wonderful woman named Lorraine who stole his heart. Lorraine and Joe were married in 1948 and shortly after starting his young family he became a Fireman for the Fire Department New York City. Joe loved working with the members of Engine 8 in New York City and after 20 years of meritorious service dedicated to the protection of the lives and property of the City of New York he retired in 1975.
It was then that he and Lorraine moved to Orlando Florida where Joe was hired at AT&T in Orlando for work. He retired from AT&T after 10 years of dedicated service. In 1992 Joe and Lorraine moved to Clermont Florida and found their perfect home at Kingsridge development.
Joe passed away peacefully at Cornerstone Mike Conley Hospice House of Clermont at the age of 90, on Sept. 18, 2015.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lorraine Fagan; children, Son James (Jim) Fagan and Judith Sutton-Fagan, Daughter Karen Fagan-Seaman and Leonard Seaman; grandchildren, Christopher Seaman, Sean Seaman, Rene Howell, Rebecca Howell-Tyson, Ty Howell, Jamie Fagan; great-grandchildren, Robert Tyson, Madison Tyson, Zoe Kozlowski.
Memorial Mass will be held on Friday September 25, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Blessed Sacrament Church in Clermont Florida.
Inurnment will be held on Friday September 25, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery.
