Juanita Ford

Juanita Akins Ford, 85, nickname Lady born on September 23, 1934 in Greenville, FL to the late John Akins and Susie Akins. She entered Heaven’s Gates on June 19, 2020. She died unexpectedly at Orlando Health Dr Philip in Orlando.

Juanita attended Jerkins High School in Perry, Florida. She retired from Orlando Lutheran Towers Downtown where she worked in the Dietary Department. She was a loving mother, homemaker, and a remarkable cook. She enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, especially during the holidays. Her favorite pastime was watching food tutorials on the cooking channels. She cherished and loved her family and friends.

Juanita was a member of Livingston Street Church of God. Juanita was preceded by her loving husband of 62 years, Henry Ford.

Juanita is survived by her children; Sons; Henry Ford Jr (Brenda), Johnniathin (Virginia), Gerry (Joy). Daughters; Terri Johnson, Debbie Kirkwood (Andre), Dolly Smith. Brothers; Melvin Akins, Charlie Akins, Sister; Elaine Akins.

A host of loving Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, and a number of other relatives and close friends.

Juanita will be laid to rest on Saturday, June 27th, 2020 at WoodLawn Memorial Park & Cemetery, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
