It is with profound sadness that the family of Julia Hard announces her passing on June 24th after a short battle with colon cancer and hypothyroidism. Julia was 91 and was surrounded by loving family members when she entered into the Kingdom of God and reunited with her husband, Robert Hard.
Julia was born to Hermanigildo Cabato and Bentorada “Beni” Domogma on December 19th, 1932 in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii. In 1963, Julia met the love of her life, Robert Hard at a restaurant in Aiea, Oahu where she was a waitress. They immediately hit it off and married only 6 months later in 1964. Robert was in the Navy so they lived in many places. During this time they adopted and raised two beautiful children, Jason and Deborah.
She was passionate about sharing the love of our Lord with others and was an integral part of Saint John Vianney catholic church. A loyal servant to God, Julia spent many of her hours dedicating her life to the church. Now that Julia has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Julia’s physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her.
Julia joins her husband, Robert, her brothers, Cajo, Joaquin, and Hymie, and her sister, Carol in Heaven. She is survived by many loving family members, including her sisters, Bella, Fely, Lorraine, and Cynthia, brothers, Mauricio, and Herman, children, Jason, his wife Sara, and Debbie, her husband John, grandchildren, Jason, Julia, Frankie, Justin, and Tori and great grandchildren, Brycen, Hayden, and Kylie. A special mention is given to her daughter-in-law, Sara, for whom brought her tremendous laughter, enjoyment, and peace of mind during her final years.
