On August 31, 2021, Kathryn Sue Levreault (69) passed peaceably. She ascended into heaven to join her beloved husband, Paul Levreault and her parents, William M. and Bonnie J Davis and her youngest brother, Bruce J. Davis. Her four children: Todd Levreault, Tiffany Guimino, Ashley Osseck and Andrea Levreault were the light of her life. She was further blessed with the addition of two son-in-laws: Joseph Guimino and Thomas Osseck and one daughter-in-law, Cindy Levreault. As if life could not be more wonderful for her, she was given further joy by the addition of five grandchildren: Michael and Julia Guimino, Ali and Ryan Levreault and Madison Osseck. She is also survived by two brothers: William (Lafon) Davis of South Bend, Indiana and Robert (Dr. Vickie) Davis of Avon, Indiana; aunts Jean and Phyllis Davis and Nancy Henninger.
Kathy, an advocate of education, was a graduate of Elkhart High School in Elkhart, Indiana and Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She also received a Master’s in education and a Specialist degree in School Administration from Rollins College. She served the students at Orange County Public Schools her entire career as a teacher and administrator until her retirement 5 years ago. She worked diligently to provide the students she was entrusted to with the best possible chance to become successful in their future. Her dream was to win the lottery so that she could set up a foundation to further support future educators and students in need. While she never won the lottery, not from lack of trying, she still cherished the different positions she held to hopefully make a difference in a student’s life.
Family and friends were very important to Kathy. She always sought ways family could spend time together over the years, even later when her children grew up with families of their own. Her family drove to Indiana every Christmas to share it with her parents, siblings, and eventually their families. She was very proud of her four children graduating with bachelor’s degrees and Andrea with her master’s degree and then going on to be successful in each of their chosen careers.
There was nothing Kathy liked better than an interesting conversation with a good (or new) friend. In fact, she could have an engaging conversation with anyone. Kathy believed strongly in doing the right thing as well as how we treat one another, whether it be family, friends or a business she frequented. She could be like a pit bull with a rag doll going after and seeking justice for situations that she felt needed to be rectified.
She loved to read a good book and spend time with her dog(s). Over the years, there were many different family pets and all of them she loved having a part of the family.
While our hearts ache to not be able to visit and talk with her again, her faith and the faith of the family knows she has entered the Kingdom of heaven where there is no physical pain, only love. A celebration of life service will be held on September 18, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Luke United Methodist Church. Kathy was a long-time member of St. Luke United Methodist Church where she supported many different activities within its doors. In lieu of flowers, the family has indicated contributions could be made to A Gift For Teaching
