Katy Neil

Katy Bell (Shelton) Neil, 90, of Apopka, FL & Drennen, WV, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 4, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Katy was born on March 4, 1922 in Swiss, WV to John Calvin Shelton and Georgia Ellen Keenan. Katy led an active and fulfilling life travelling with her husband of 52 years Harold “Red” Neil who preceded her in death in 1997. She was active in the Bahia Shriners Widows Club. Katy is survived by her daughters, Barbara DeLuca (John) and Ginny Conley (Joe Watts), 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Agnes Davis of Clay, WV, William A. Shelton of Poca, WV, and John W. Shelton of Lockwood, WV along with her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings, Vina Shawver and Betty McHenry. Services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Gotha, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Bahia Shriners Hospital Transportation Fund at 2300 Pembrook Dr., Orlando, FL 32810.
