Kenneth E. Forrest

Kenneth Forrest was born in Swift River in the parish of Portland, Jamaica W.I. His parents were the late Miriam Anita and Elijah Forrest. He was born on July 23, 1940. In 1975, he migrated to Hackensack, New Jersey. The same year August 4, 1975 he was married to Vernita Gordon (Daisy) the love of his life. Ken was employed by the Hackensack Medical Center’s security department for twelve years. He had had enough of the cold weather and decided it was time to move to the tropics like his native Jamaica, so he relocated to the Sunshine state of Florida in 1998. Work was in his DNA and he went back to work and was employed by the hotel industry in the security department for five years. Ken was a very private, pleasant person with a charming personality and an infectious smile. He was a generous man with many talents which he did not hesitate to share with family, friends, neighbors and members of his community.Kenneth Forrest was predeceased in death by his parents Miriam Adina Forrest and Elijah Forrest, sister Viola Roach, and brother, Wilmot Forrest.He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 38 years, Vernita (Dasiy) Forrest, brother, Vincent Forrest and wife Yvonne, his sons: Patrick Forrest and wife Marjorie, Patrick Anderson, M.D. and wife Alma, Denver Francis and wife Ann. His daughters: Audrey Anderson-Smith and husband Solomon, Diane Anderson-Pryce and husband Clive, twelve grandchildren, with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
