Kuntee Raghunandan

did her best to improve the lives of her off-spring. One such priority

was convincing her late husband Patrick, to relocate from his village

to a village where their children can learn to read and write. It took

four massive strokes to finally tame this amazing matriarch. She

loved all her kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She

enjoyed video chatting with all her descendants and their significant

other to her last day. At times she would be silly and make fun of her

flat nose that her late husband would chose her because of it.

Kuntee passed away on October 23rd, 2021, at the age of 85. She

was born on June 7th , 1936, to Somwaru & Beepia Budhu. She lost

both parents at an early age and was a loving and kind child and

loved playing with her best friend and elder sister Mali. Kuntee grew

up in East Coast Demerara whereas a teenager wooed the love of her

life Patrick, with her angelic voice. She is well known for being

resourceful with great problem-solving skills. Kuntee and Patrick

had eight children. She loves her Jesus and would often end up

praying for those who from the time would call her.

Kuntee is survived by her eight children, four daughters, Sharon,

Patty, Indie and Serena. Four sons Deo, Harry, Lall and George.

Eighteen grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. Her words

will always be in our hearts… “Put on the chestplate of God.”
