Larry was born in Orlando, Florida on February 12, 1938, the third child of Annie and GB Berry. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie, his children, Sheila, Laura (Doug Joseph), Luana (Ronald Folse) and Stephen (Carol, née Fomby), and his siblings, Mary Green and William Berry, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A proud graduate of the University of Michigan, Larry joined the Marine Corps, as an officer, to serve our country domestically, and in Vietnam, Okinawa and Cuba. He earned his Masters and Specialist Degrees in Education from Rollins and Florida Atlantic Colleges. He brought his leadership skills and love of team sports to hundreds of children in Orlando public schools, and enjoyed protecting and serving guests of Walt Disney World as Security Host.
He lived life to the fullest: he loved sports, traveling the globe with Stephanie, and taking photos of his adventures, family and friends.
Services will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
