He was married to Lillian E Chapman on December 24, 1975. He had his own landscaping business and volunteered as head bar tender at the Italian American social club for more than 25 years.
He enjoyed many pets over his lifetime, liked going on cruises with his wife and club friends and entertaining with friends and family.
Leon is survived by four step-children: Michael Vaganek, Dan Vaganek, Valerie Vaganek and Gary Vaganek as well as his three grandchildren whom he adored: Daniel Schubiger, Caitlin Schubiger and Chelsea Keller (Schubiger).
A visitation will be held on December 5, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, located at 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
The funeral service will follow on the same day, December 5, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at the same location.
