

Loreen "Reen" Eaton Briggs, 87, of Zellwood, FL passed away October 22, 2010 at her home. “Reen” was born in Crescent City, FL on April 9, 1923. She graduated from Orlando High School, class of 1940. She was a professional photographer in Orlando for 40 years, working at McCalls Studio in College Park, then owner of Esquire Photographers. Loreen was a member and officer of Quota Club International, a Lake County Master Gardener, a Docen for the Orlando Art Museum, Member of Helping Hands in Zellwood Station, and a member and deacon of First Presbyterian Church of Apopka and a volunteer at Loaves & Fishes also a member of the Red Hat Society. Reen is preceded in death by her husband, Russell G. Briggs, daughter, Rita Briggs Woods, sister, Norma Beeman; children, James Patrick (Jean) Briggs, Judy Kathleen Briggs (Bill) Hanley, brother, Hamp (Jean) Eaton; four grandchildren, Kimberly Briggs (Glenn) Gardner, Beth Briggs, Michele Smith (Chad) Starr, Melissa Smith (Jesse) Elvers; six great granddaughters and three great grandson. Family will receive friends from 2-4 pm, Sunday, October 24 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Service will be held at 10 am, Monday at the funeral home.
