Lorraine Williams Gayle

She was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 9, 1928 to the late Vern and Alberta (Schaefer) Williams.

Lorraine married Herbert Stewart at the age of 17, becoming the matriarch of her own family that she loved fiercely. She later grew to become a successful saleswoman in the retail industry.

Lorraine encountered her second chance at love in 1971 when she married Robert J. Gayle.

Her three loving daughters, Leslie, Pat and Vickie, know her as the funny, generous woman who was the glue that held them all together.

All the holidays were at her home, and her grandchildren know where all the many candy dishes reside.

She will be missed very dearly.

She was preceded in death by her dear parents, and beloved husband, Robert.

Lorraine is survived by her daughters, Leslie Williams (Russell), Patricia Gise and Vickie Gayle (Brenda Barry); and sons, Hiram Shannon (Lorraine) and Robert C. Gayle; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and her very first great-great grandchild.

A Celebration of Lorraine's Life will be held at WaterStone Church in Longwood, Florida on Monday, December 3rd at 11:00am with a Committal Service to immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, Florida.
