

Mabel Grace Bettenhausen Larson passed away at Good Samaritan Village in Kissimmee, Florida on Friday, November 11, 2016, at the age of 93. Mabel was born in Wishek, North Dakota to Emma (Kramer) and Oliver W. Bettenhausen, Sr. on March 26, 1923.
Mabel is survived by her devoted husband Edward of 74 years. They were married in Binford, North Dakota on August 16, 1942. Mabel and Edward lived in Cooperstown, North Dakota for 40 years and were active members of Hofva Lutheran Church.
Mabel is lovingly remembered by her children Kathryn (Tom) Ferguson, Jane Anesta, Paul Larson, and David (Sandy) Larson; her grandchildren Angela (John) Boydston, Kelly (Frank) Nystrom, David (Stefanie) Anesta, Nicholas (Shannon) Larson, and Jenette (Ross) Zilka; her step grandchildren Lindsey Ferguson and Ben Ferguson; her great grandchildren Caroline Nystrom, Sarah Jane Nystrom, Lucy Anesta, and her step great grandchild Ethan Helton.
She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Gladys Zimmerman, Muriel Schilling, Larry Bettenhausen, Oliver Bettenhausen, Shirley Kaseman, Neil Bettenhausen, Ella Burr and Richard Bettenhausen.
Mabel is preceded in death by her sisters and brothers Pearl Wahl, Howard Bettenhausen, LaVera Ottmar, Charles Bettenhausen, Warren Bettenhausen, Blanche Wetzel, Corrine Albrecht, Edgar Bettenhausen and son-in-law Joe Anesta.
The memorial service will be held at Salem Lutheran Church, 7900 S. Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL 32819, on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.

Mabel’s family wishes to thank the staff of station three at Good Samaritan Village and Vitas Hospice for the exceptional care provided to Mabel during her residency, as well as the volunteers of Salem Lutheran Church.
