Margaret Harrell passed away on July 11, 2012. Margaret Harrell was born in Hazelhurst, Arkansas in 1906. The family moved to Washington State when she was six years old. In the school she attended there she was a Valedictorian and took a course in beauty salons. She had her own shop in their house. She met Clarence Harrell in Washington at a dance after he had just gotten out of the Army. They married and went to Jackson Tennessee (where Clarence was born) and opened a little service station where they sold hamburgers. Two years later they went back to Washington State because Margaret was home sick. They rented and sold houses. In 1948 they moved to Orlando Florida in a new 1948 Chevrolet (where Clarence’s sister lived). They built Harrell Zone Motor Court.
Margaret Harrell always took good care of Clarence. She was a good cook and cared for him when he was going to kidney dialysis for over four years. Margaret was a strong person, good trooper, independent and loved pretty flowers, yard sales, and sitting in the swing next to Clarence. They were married 68 years old and will always be loved and missed by their daughter and grandson. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was survived by her daughter Darlene Avera and her grandson James Avera and friends.
