She was born in the Dominican Republic on March 10, 1962 to Jose & Elisa (Rodriguez) Diaz.
Margarita lived her life cherishing her Savior, Jesus, and her beloved family. She talked to everyone she met in her community, and especially loved babies. She baked everything you could bake, and gave it away. And you could hear her distinct, wonderful laughter all the way across the room in a crowd. Margarita could tell a good joke, and she loved to laugh. She also loved books of all sorts, even children’s books, and adult coloring books. You might find her knitting or crocheting in the moments between…or taking in an old movie, or an episode of I Love Lucy. Her adoring family will always remember their joyful times together around a NY cheese pizza; and, cherish every day they spent together.
Margarita is survived by her three children, Hector Leon (Yasmin Leon), Natalie Peralta (Juan Pablo Peralta), and Rene Leon (Natalie Rene Leon); grandchildren, Julian, Daniel, Camilo, Ayven, and Gabriel; and her siblings, Clara Sisa, Silveria (a.k.a Tatica), Raphael, Ramona, Raymon, Mario, Teresa, and Cristina.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 21st at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida. Visitation at 10:00am, Service at 11:00am with Committal to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation in Margarita’s name to any children's charity of your choosing.
