Marguerite Ann Pruim, 85 of Orlando, passed away March 10, 2019. She was born in Harvey, Illinois on August 28, 1933. Marguerite graduated from Thornton Township High School and received her RN from Calvin College and Blodgett Hospital School of Nursing. She was married to Elmer Gerhardt Pruim, Jr. on September 16, 1960. Marge worked in nursing and spent the last 20 years professionally at West Orange Manor, developing the first Memory Care Unit in Central Florida. She was a member of Orangewood Church and had a passion for serving others. She spent many years volunteering at her church and at Orangewood Christian School. She was preceded in death by her late parents, Theodore Huizenga and Ida Van Kalker Huizenga, and her brothers Theodore Huizenga Jr., and Jake Huizenga. She is survived by her husband Elmer, children Elmer III (Lisa) Pruim, Diane (Don) Langmo, Nancy Pruim, Carol (Brian) Phipps; brothers Elmer (Norma) Huizenga and Roger (Wilma) Huizenga and sister-in-law Elaine Huizenga and Pat Huizenga; grandchildren Jennifer (Desmond) Jordan, Julia (Paul) Prestia, Jana (Wil) Pinkley, Jackie Langmo, Hannah Phipps, Christopher Langmo, Jamie Pruim, Sam Phipps, Caleb Phipps, Garrett Langmo, Jenna Langmo, Kennedy Langmo and Kaleigh Langmo; and great-grandchildren Mason Prestia, Cody Prestia, Palmer Jordan, Dean Prestia, Theodore Pinkley, Marguerite Jordan, and Amelia Pinkley. Arrangements have been entrusted to Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida. Visitation is Wednesday, March 13 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm and the Celebration of Life service will be Wednesday, March 13 at 2:00 pm.
