Marie Crane Tilquist

Marie Elaine Tilquist, 77, passed Thursday December 19, 2013. Born April 9, 1936 in Newark, New Jersey. Marie was always involved with helping others; A 30 year career as a L.P.N., then as a Pre-need Counselor for Woodlawn Memorial Inc. In 1996 Marie and her husband moved to The Villages making many wonderful and dear friends. A member of the New Jersey Club, and The Lions Club. She had acted as Vice President and President for the Lions Club of The Villages and was a recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow award. Marie was a member of St. Timothy Catholic church.

Marie is survived by her husband of 53 years; Peter Tilquist, sons; Peter G. Tilquist II and James W. Tilquist. Along with her daughter in law; Kelli Tilquist and granddaughters; Laurane, Juliane, Elanne and Sharann Tilquist. Along with many Nieces and Nephews far too many to list.

A wonderful wife, mother, the most fantastic grandmother, aunt and great aunt her smile will forever shine in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held on December 24, 2013 10:30am – noon visitation, chapel service at noon located in Woodlawn Memorial Park; 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha Florida.
