Mrs. Colburn was a graduate of St Anthony's Grammar School and Hoven High School in Hoven, South Dakota. She attended Nursing School in Huron, South Dakota prior to taking a position of Reservationist for Nation Airlines in San Francisco, California in 1967.
Margie met her husband Bob and they were married in 1968. She always loved the pool, beach, boating and water skiing. Margie was also active in her church's ladies group.
She was a Disney Cast Member for 31 years at the Polynesian Village Resort and the Magic Kingdom's Crystal Palace. During her retirement, she enjoyed helping others in her community and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Robert W. “Bobby” Colburn, III; parents, Florian and Marie Lunders, and her sister, Alexia Sack.
Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Robert W. “Bob” Colburn, Jr.; children, William “Billy” Colburn and Amy Colburn (Toni Gott); sisters, Rosalie (Richard) Vogel and Becky (Myron) Denny; daughter in law, Laura Colburn; grandchildren, Brittany Colburn, Hunter Colburn, Chloe Colburn, Logan Colburn, Ace Colburn Gott, Axl Colburn Gott, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is also survived by her beloved pets.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha. A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Quest Church 1450 Citrus Oaks Avenue, Gotha with Pastor Bryan Stamper officiating. Mrs. Colburn will be entombed privately in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
