Marjorie “Margie” Dillon of Winter Park, Florida passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025. Born in Unadilla, NY, in the late 1930s, she moved to Central Florida as a young woman and made it her lifelong home.
Margie worked for Western Union, served as an executive assistant, and later offered companionship to nursing home residents. She was widowed in 1998 after the death of her husband, Matt, yet remained independent and socially active, often found at bluegrass festivals, quick to laugh and connect.
She was predeceased by her daughter Cindy, son Steven, and granddaughters Jennifer and Elizabeth. Margie is survived by her sons Dale, Alan, and Tom; grandchildren Jon, Michael, Christopher, and TJ; and siblings Barby, Judy, Myron, and Glenn; and a wide circle of extended family members who loved her dearly.
Remembered for her warm heart, determined spirit, and her father’s guiding words “Square your shoulders and face it” Margie was the steadfast center of her family.
